Shoulder and Arm Pain
What causes shoulder and arm pain?
Shoulder and arm injuries are some of the most common reasons patients visit a chiropractor. We place incredible demands on our shoulders and arms in our activities and sports, but also just in everyday life. Shoulder pain can have many different causes, but one of the most common causes we see as chiropractors, is referred shoulder pain from the brachial plexus.
The brachial plexus is a bundle of nerves that originate in the cervical spine. These nerves are responsible for sensory and motor functions in our shoulders and arms. If there’s a spinal misalignment or irritation of these nerves, there is often pain and additional symptoms into the arm and shoulder that accompany it.
If you’re unsure if we can help, check the list of common conditions we see in our clinic below and give our doctors a call for a FREE consultation.
